This past week during lunch, one of my students ("Earrings") called out to her classmates,
"Raise your hand if you love Mrs. Robinson for who she is!"
Everyone's hand shot up.
I wonder what that means...?

the real one
Last week, one of my students told me about a trip she'll take in the summer:
"When we don't come to school anymore, I'm going to Tennessee!"
I nod and smile.
She adds, "The real one!"

Behold!
Reading the Bible everyday (and other old, good books like the Pilgrim's Progress) to first graders definitely helps to expand their vocabularies.
About a month ago, Gorilla* raises his hand.
"Yes, Gorilla*?"
"Mrs. Robinson, behold..." he solemnly says as he points his work. We read the word so often, I don't think he knows it is outdated.
